A Little About Therapy


Therapy is a collaborative process where we come together to unravel and understand your unique narrative and life experiences. We’ll start by exploring what you hope to explore through therapy, because it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach as your journey is as unique as you are.

The idea of therapy isn’t to fit into a mold; it’s to create space for yourself, a room to breathe, to reflect, and to be.

Know Your Therapist


I’m a UNESCO-CID licensed Expressive Arts Therapist, and my sessions aren’t based on reception, they involve active collaboration and tuning in and out using the body. When working with clients in the therapeutic space, I use a mix of Expressive Arts Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Narrative Therapy, Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP), Hypnosis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).While these may just sound like fancy names, here is a sneak sneak peek into them-

Expressive Arts Therapy incorporates various creative mediums like visual arts, movement, drama, and music. However, it’s not about performance or creating a ‘perfect’ product. Instead, it’s about engaging with these mediums in a way that feels comfortable for you. The focus is on the process rather than the outcome—allowing you to explore and unravel your experiences at your own pace. This approach is especially helpful when words alone cannot fully capture the depth of our emotions.

Trauma-Informed Care is a holistic approach that acknowledges the role of the body in our healing journey. It encourages us to tune inward, recognize how our body holds experiences, and build a relationship with it beyond just the physical. This perspective helps create a safe space for exploration and integration.

Narrative Therapy helps us explore the unique stories we tell about ourselves and our lives. It allows us to examine where these narratives originate, how they shape our identities, and how we can rewrite them in ways that feel empowering and authentic.

CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps us understand our thought patterns—their origins, the roles they play in our lives, and how we can gently reframe them to support our well-being.

NLP helps us recognize the subconscious patterns we have developed over time and understand the purpose they serve. By bringing these patterns into awareness, we gain the ability to reshape them in ways that align with our growth and goals.

IFS is a therapeutic approach that involves connecting with different parts of ourselves—understanding, befriending, and integrating them into a cohesive sense of self.

The Process of Booking a Session


If you’d like to book an online therapy session with me, please reach out to me at dakshitacounselling@gmail.com or drop a whatsapp message on 9205263824. After this, we’ll have a short (5-10 minutes) audio call to cater to any questions that you may have about the therapy process. After a conformation, you’ll receive an email with the scheduled date & time of the session along with the therapy agreement.

Who am I outside of the Therapy Room


Just a girl with her glasses on, wearing comfortable clothes to get through Delhi's scorching heat or cold winters. When I'm not working, you can find me curled up watching Bollywood movies, sitcoms, MasterChef India, or my favorite travel vlogger. Other times, I might be doodling, goofing around with my art supplies, or simply wanting to be in nature.
